Abacıoğlu Inn is between 919 and 920 streets; especially tourists are interested in the inn housing a number of different places under the name of “Lesmire”, the former name of Izmir before Smyrna. Abacıoğlu inn reflects the historical past of Izmir with its architectural structure different from the traditional inns.

The History of Abacıoğlu Inn:
There is no definite date recorded for the construction of the Abacıoğlu Inn but according to the records of the Foundation, in the beginning of the 18th century, Hacı Mustafa Ağa, son of the Abacızade Ahmed Efendi in Izmir registered on the 23rd of February 1718 the mosque he had built in Güzelhisar, the fountain, the teachers’ home and the class room with its 30 rooms.
Along with these records in Izmir within the Kasab Hızır Quarter, the structure consisting of the Merzifonlu Karamustafa Paşa Inn, the greek church a cellar, a courtyard and described as the building with nine rooms and seven cellars correspond with the features of the Abacıoğlu Inn. It was restored according to its original structure.
